Hockey is a club sport and part of a local league that gets to compete not only against local teams but travels to Wichita, Arkansas and other areas as the sport continues to grow in this part of the midwest and Rockhurst has a been a central part of that growth.Â
Not a Missouri State High School Activities Association sanctioned sport, the program is under the direction of the Assistant Principal of Student Life and activities and has a program coordinator in Coach Paul Winkeler to help Coach Delaney O’Rourke and his staff live out the program’s mission along with a vibrant parent board to help with all the details of having a competitive hockey program.
There is a Varsity and JV team in the program and the season runs from late October through early spring.
