The tennis program holds the distinction of having the most state championships in school’s record book. As Coach Rich Sullivan is learning – the X factor to all of that success are the players touting their experience and building relationships that extend well past their high school years.
Evidenced in both assistant coaches being alums and friends, the Hawklets are a fixture at the Final Four and celebrated a singles state champion in Bobby King and raised another banner on the wall (3rd) for its 33rd banner in program history.
Comprised of 2 levels (varsity and JV) the team plays in the spring and the first week is about match play to set its ladder. But don’t let its success scare anyone off as the program is welcoming to all who want to excel at the sport.
