While the sport might have started as a winter sport at Rockhurst in the 70s – it has grown to be a fall tradition – which includes many trips to the Final Four.
Recently, Coach Darby has helped to guide the Hawklets to national acclaim as National Champions in 2023 and won three State Championships in a row from 2021-2023.
But the program is not only defined by trophies and banners as there is a strong camaraderie and a technical style of play.
There are four teams in the program (Varsity, JV, C team, and freshman) with tryouts being held the first week of the season.
